OUR STANDARD WEIGHT LIMIT

Maximum 25 kg Per Package

For our standard international shipping service, each individual suitcase, moving box or parcel must weigh no more than 25 kilograms.

This is the total packed weight, including the contents, suitcase or carton and any protective packaging.

The limit applies to each package individually, rather than the combined weight of your entire shipment.

Packages must also meet the size, packaging, contents and acceptance requirements of the selected shipping service.

At a Glance

  • Includes the suitcase, carton and packaging materials.
  • Multiple packages can be included in one enquiry.

A 30 kg package exceeds our standard weight limit and requires an alternative shipping assessment.

SHIPPING MORE THAN ONE PACKAGE

Sending Multiple Boxes or Suitcases?

The 25 kg maximum applies to each package individually, not to your total shipment weight.

For example, you can request a quote for three separate boxes weighing 20 kg each. The combined weight is 60 kg, but every individual box is below the standard limit.

We will confirm service availability after reviewing your full shipment details.

PACKAGE DIMENSIONS

Size Matters Too

Weight isn't the only factor when shipping internationally. The external dimensions of your suitcase, box or parcel also affect shipping costs and acceptance.

Even if your package weighs less than 25 kg, it may require special handling if it is particularly large or unusually shaped.

When requesting a quote, provide the length, width and height in centimetres of each fully packed package.

Maximum dimensions depend on the available service and destination.

How to Measure Your Package

  • Length: The longest external side.
  • Width: The second horizontal dimension.
  • Height: The remaining external dimension.
  • Include wheels, handles and other protruding parts.
  • Measure after the package is fully packed.
LENGTH HEIGHT WIDTH

Measure the outside of your fully packed suitcase or box.

UNDERSTANDING FREIGHT CHARGES

What Is Volumetric Weight?

International freight services may calculate charges based on the amount of space your package occupies, rather than just its actual weight.

This is known as volumetric weight or dimensional weight.

For example, a large box containing lightweight clothing may occupy more freight space than a smaller, heavier package.

The calculation method varies by freight service. We review your actual weight and dimensions when preparing your personalised quote.

Actual vs Volumetric Weight

Actual weight is what your fully packed package weighs on a scale.

Volumetric weight is calculated from its external dimensions using the selected service's formula.

Freight charges may be based on the higher of these two values, depending on the service.

EXAMPLE PACKAGE
60 × 40 × 40 cm

A lightweight package of this size may be charged at a higher volumetric weight depending on the freight service.

HEAVY & OVERSIZED SHIPMENTS

Need to Ship Something Over 25 kg?

If your suitcase, box or other item exceeds 25 kg, it cannot travel under our standard shipping service.

However, we may be able to explore alternative freight arrangements depending on the item's weight, dimensions, contents and destination.

Contact us before packing or arranging collection. We'll review your requirements and advise whether a suitable shipping option is available.

PACKING ADVICE

Tips for Packing Within the Weight Limit

A few simple checks before shipping can help you avoid overweight packages and unexpected freight adjustments.

01

Weigh After Packing

Weigh your suitcase or box once it is completely packed, including all packaging materials.

02

Split Heavy Contents

If one box exceeds 25 kg, consider distributing suitable contents across additional packages.

03

Use Strong Cartons

Choose packaging capable of safely supporting the weight of the contents.

04

Measure Accurately

Record the external length, width and height of every packed item.

05

Prepare a Contents List

List the goods inside each package and provide accurate customs information.

06

Check Restricted Items

Being within the weight limit does not automatically mean all goods can be shipped.
